Episode #28: Random Movie Chatting (How the Duo Got Their Groove Back)

NEARLY A YEAR IN THE MAKING! Hard to believe so much time has passed since the last episode of the show! Life has kept us busy, but the Duo can't just STOP talking about movies! So, in an effort to get back in the swing of things, Josh and Wendi sit down to converse about some of the recent things they have been watching. An expanded "top 3" section, in essence. This episode follows conversations about Ghostbusters 2016, Stranger Things, The Nice Guys, Summer camps, and pining over the glory days when Kevin Costner actually made solid sports movies. Unfortunately, this was our second time trying to record this episode! Previously an episode was recorded a few months ago, but due to a recording error - all of the data was lost. So, here's hoping the next episode will come much sooner!

Episode #27: Zombie '90: Extreme Pestilence (1991)

Welcome to episode 27! Don't let us confuse you, even though the intro says episode 26, and the last episode said 25, this is indeed 27. That's because we here at The Trashy Trio do not know how to math. Regardless of our inability to count, this episode (which was recorded nearly two months ago) can finally be enjoyed by the masses! In this episode, Josh is joined by the amazing Metal Mikey, who stops in for a torture session that involves him watching Andreas Schnaas' legendary Zombie '90: Extreme Pestilence (1991). This is a movie that Wendi didn't care to subject herself to, and no one can blame her for that. This is a movie that changes you as a person. Anyway, strap up and get ready for it, because this nasty piece of German splatter deserves as many lurid and vivid descriptions as any two people can give!

Episode #26: SLEAZY SUMMER PRESENTS - Animal Instincts (1992)

Hey, hey, hey! Listen to Trashy Trio 'erryday! That's right, The Trashy Trio are back with their second entry into the Summer of Sleaze festivities! For those of you who don't know, we've paired up our fellow podcasts Silva & Gold, The Cult of Muscle, The Feminine Critique, Married With Clickers, and The Hammicus Podcast, all of whom have been guided by The Gentleman's Guide to Midnite Cinema in an attempt to bring a streamline of sleazy Summer content for you the listeners! The way this works is that each podcast picked out a select number of movies, then those movies were put into a hat, and then they were picked at random and handed to the various podcasts who are taking part in this event. For our second episode, we were given Animal Instincts from 1992. Another softcore thriller, but will the duo behind the Trio have a similar rection to it as they did Bedroom Eyes? Listen to find out!

Episode #25: SLEAZY SUMMER PRESENTS - Bedroom Eyes (1984)

Holy Moly! What's going on with The Trashy Duo? Well, we've joined forces with a bunch of other podcasts in order to bring you something a little special this month. The Trashy Trio joins up with Silva & Gold, The Cult of Muscle, The Feminine Critique, Married With Clickers, and The Hammicus Podcast, all of whom have been guided by The Gentleman's Guide to Midnite Cinema in an attempt to bring a streamline of sleazy Summer content for you the listeners! The way this works is that each podcast picked out a select number of movies, then those movies were put into a hat, and then they were picked at random and handed to the various podcasts who are taking part in this event. For our first episode, we were given Bedroom Eyes from 1984. A thriller-of-sorts that made for some interesting discussion material!

Episode #24: Thriller: A Cruel Picture (1973)

The Trashy Duo are back and this time they've travelled to a new and wonderful land. A land of blonde hair and words that sound a lot like "bork bork." The Trashy Duo are back in Europe, but this time they took a look at the infamous film Thriller: A Cruel Picture from 1973. It is the film that made Christina Lindberg a household (kinda) name, but does it stand up? Listen in and find out for yourself!

Episode #23: The Blood Spattered Bride (1972)

The Trashy Duo are back and this time they've made it a trio! Our buddy Keith sits in with us and introduces us to one of the most perplexing "vampire" movies out there! In this episode, we take a look at the 1972 lesbo-vampire movie The Blood Spattered Bride! Much fun is had as we try and figure out just WHO the hero of the movie is supposed to be!

And be sure to keep up with Keith and all of the amazing happenings over at Teleport City! http://teleport-city.com/

Episode #22: Wandering Ginza Butterfly 2: She-Cat Gambler (1972)

Y'all ain't gonna believe this. YOU JUST AIN'T GONNA BELIEVE IT! The Trashy Duo are back in this mother, and they're covering a Japanese movie! The impossible truly is possible! And this time out, Wendi was the one who brought us all back to the world of 70s pinky violence as Wandering Ginza Butterfly 2: She-Cat Gambler is covered on the show, and never worry, as Josh makes sure to painstakingly point out numerous times during the review - you don't really NEED to see the first movie to appreciate this one.

Keep tuned to The Trashy Trio channel, as more updates are due to follow over the course of this Summer! Big plans are being put into action!

Episode #21: Fight for Your Life (1977)

Why is the world in love again? Why are we walking hand-in-hand? Why are the ocean levels rising up? It's a brand new episode of The Trashy Duo! Special thanks go to Kenny B. from The Podcast on Fire Network who actually helped out in editing this episode for us. Although he may look and sound like The Swedish Chef, he's actually the sweetest person we have ever known. We love him dearly.

Speaking of love, this episode throws love around all over the place! We cover the immortal classic sleazefest known as Fight for Your Life! Lots of racism and lots of insanity! Give it a listen and enjoy!

Episode #20: Strip Nude for Your Killer (1975)

The Trashy Duo are back after a ten year hiatus! This episode has been in the can for weeks, but editing has been very difficult to get to. Regardless, here it is for your listening pleasure! Wendi and Josh sit down to talk about the Italian giallo classic, Strip Nude for Your Killer (1975). Of course, somewhere along the way Wendi manages to fit in a Scott Adkins story and the episode is filled with more tangents than you can shake a stick at!

Episode #19: The Human Tornado (1976)

The Trashy Trio (err, Duo, this time out) are back and although Fight For Your Life was originally on the agenda, things got switched up and changes were made. It seemed like a more appropriate time to cover something that is a bit "fun." That leads to our film for this episode: the majestic and wonderful The Human Tornado from 1976, starring Rudy Ray Moore as his ever-popular character Dolemite. Tune in and hear all about the crazy sex dreams that Rudy manages to inspire!
